Looks like we got some love on this "Classics" video done by MotionApps. They quickly show DayNotez running and Bonsai is clearly shown in the launcher. Video (which Justine from CA pointed out to us) can be seen HERE

Congratulations on the love! Once they figure the sync'ing thing out I'll be seriously considering the Pre. Daynotez and Bonsai without desktop syncing is like cake with no icing...

I can't really say if Bonsai will show up on one, both or neither of these two devices... or even when. I think ... it would probably be a good idea to wait until after the Pre is released to start to hear 1st hand user experience on what its pros and cons are, and then compare the two devices.
Has the situation changed after the launch of Pre? Has Natara came to some decision on whether Bonsai for Pre will appear in the nearest future?

No change. There still is no SDK available to us. We put our request in months ago. Other platforms are currently better opportunities for our limited resource in the near term.
Like the iPhone, right, huh, huh, please Mister?!
I can keep hoping. I miss Bonsai every time I have a new task or project to get done and have to make do. Le sigh.

I truly hope you can get a Pre version going soon. I have lived and breathed with Bonsai for many years and I'm feeling lost without it. I have used it under Classic, but without sync-ing it is not much help. So count in my vote!
I was thinking as I read your comments about expending resources on an iPhone app versus a Pre app: Maybe a way to go is just a web app. In looking at potential replacements for Bonsai, I looked at RememberTheMilk and HiveMinder and Evernote. All are web based, and with an interesting business model of providing basic web service for free. There is even multiple URLs for big screen views and small screen (iPhone or Pre or ...) views. Then they also have developed some client specific apps which are great enhancements, but if somebody's phone doesn't have an app or a new phone comes out, you can always just use the web service. Evernote is already available as a Pre app. Also the web service covers the need for desktop apps and eliminates the need for hotsync-ing.
I like the apps I just mentioned above, but Bonsai is still my preference. Or, at least it will be if I can access it somehow on my Pre. A web version would be a great way to attract/keep Pre and iPhone users, especially if there was a web interface tailored toward their screens.
Just my $.02

It may not be a native application or OTA sync, but the latest Bonsai v5 beta provides a "sync with file" feature that should allow you to sync the outline on the Pre with your desktop outline when it is connected via USB. Refer to the first two bullet points in the Bonsai v5 beta announcement on how to use this feature with the Pre. Please download and give the beta a try and let me know how it works. Since I do not have access to a Pre device, I was not able to test this directly so I am very interested in knowing the results.

Did I hear that Palm have now released an SDK for the Pre? If so, that sounds a little more positive.
Having said that, what am I getting excited for? - The Pre is pretty expensive (as is the iPhone)! It also seems that it's not quite getting the launch hype of the iPhone (Pre is about to be launched on Orange here in the UK, but I've only seen 1 ad, in a gadget magazine), so may not get a big user-base.
