Natara Programmers Refuse To Listen To Their Customers

If you read through the forums you will see many requests for a IPhone, Blackberry and Android version. MOST pocket PC users have put away their pocket pcs and palms and switched to one of the 3 mentioned smartphones and now they can not use their software. I for one have been a Daynotz user for many years but about 2 years ago I put away my pocket pc for a blackberry and will not go back. Where I used to be on Daynotz many times a day, now I never use it since it is only available on my laptop.
I do not understand a company that is not willing to progress.
Anybody else agree with me or am I alone in my beliefs?
Am I wrong about PPC and Palms? Are they not fading away? Are people still caring them in addition to their cell phones /smartphones?

Win 7 Phone + Daynotez = my next phone, haven't found any other journaling software that compares. Been waiting to see any more reponses to "future features requests". It looks like its a waiting game at this point.

There are literally dozens and dozens of people looking for a good, quality journaling/diary app for the BlackBerry, with no solutions in sight. I've been a long-time user/customer of Natara solutions, and I too am very upset and discouraged in their choice to NOT support BlackBerry devices and customers.
I've tried almost every single free and paid Diary/Journal app out there and found very few that fit the bill. A desktop/sync component is nice, but not required (esp. when there are solutions like Remember the Milk, Toodledo, etc.) but having a mobile-side app is a must!
For now, I'm using an app called AUTDiary, but it has a lot of deficiencies:
- No way to export/save/email/etc. diary entries
- No way to view these from within any desktop component (i.e. BDM or Outlook)
- No way to create PAST journal entries
Those three issues alone are showstoppers for me at this point.
Natara, please listen to the power/paying users like myself out here and (re)consider providing a BlackBerry version of DayNotez, even if it only works on the device side and not on the desktop. The desktop sync can come later, but we're all struggling here with nowhere to turn for our daily diary/journal needs!
Thanks in advance.

No, you are not wrong. I am confused, Natara has long been my mainstay app provider on the palm. They sell top notch, well thought out applications. I own several. I am willing to pay for upgrades to Android, Droid X.
Why do they not keep up with the times?

I would like to see an Android version of Daynotez. I used the Windows Mobile platform for years and the ability to use DayNotez on both my phone and desktop with synchronization capability between the two was great. After my WinMO phone died, I temporarily started using a Palm Pre but I never attempted to migrate or install Daynotez on the WebOS platform since I determined soon after I started using the Pre that I needed to move on to another platform.
That platform is now Android. I am still using the Windows desktop version of Daynotez and I probably will until I can find a suitable replacement, (which many on this forum has mentioned, is somewhat difficult to find).
I have no idea what Natara's direction will be regarding Daynotez, but obviously the Apple and Android markets are not a high priority, unless the management is deciding to keep these types of decisions low key and close to the vest for now. Who knows....but it would be a good gesture to at least answer the queries from current and interested customers about future plans for DayNotez.

I think we can infer from this, that Palm is completely dead in the water.
If Natara really has no plans to further develop DayNotez, might Natara consider releasing the source code to the open source community? Natara still funds this this website forum, and the domain it is hosted on, so they at least value DayNotez enough to spend a hundred bucks or so a year on listening to the few comments posted by loyal users. Releasing DayNotez to open source would bring new life to the project, and would probably result in it becoming available on multiple platforms.
This is a very useful program. Please do not let it die. If you need help with the details of releasing the code and starting an open source project, I will be happy to give you some pointers.
In direct reply to the prior post, I am currently using Orange Diary Pro on Android. It does most things I need, but does not do them nearly as well as DayNotez did.
