I've rebuilt my device (Sprint HTC TouchPro 2, stock ROM) and need to reconnect my desktop DNZ with the handheld DNZ.

I see the DNZ option in Mobile Device Center but can't set checkbox or access options.

Everything worked well before the rebuild.

Nothing has changed on the desktop.
Windows 7.
DNZ 1.7.4
DNZ runs fine there.

The handheld can connect to the desktop via USB and I see the device in Mobile Device Center.

I installed DNZ on the handheld from the Marketplace.
Ver: 1.6.1.9
It runs fine there and has all my data, the DNZ file is on the storage card and survived the reset.

I've done this before, re-established the sync after a rebuild, on this device a couple times but figure there's probably some tip or trick for doing it the right way.

I started DnzPPCSetup.exe but chickened out instead of overwriting the newer DNZ app on the handheld. It wanted to install 1.5.3.8

Thanks.

The marketplace version of DayNotez does not include any of the ActiveSync components. It is just a stand-alone handheld application. Since you have a newer HTC device, you will need to install DayNotez on the PC found in this forum message. I am planning to release this version and update the version to match what is listed in the marketplace. Because of this, you may need to force DayNotez to install over the "newer" version from the marketplace.

Worked like a champ.

I just ran the DnzPPCSetup and let it install and sync.

All is well.

Thanks.
