Since a few days I'm working with a non public beta of Outliner Pro for android. The syncronisation through Dropbox works perfekt (Bonsai Desktop 5 is necessary). The app isn't far that powerful yet as Bonsai for Palm was but it works fine and the development is in progress. Also the developer is very responsive. So we can hope to get a piece of software that keeps us working with Bonsai Desktop and with Android. The standard version (see android market) is free, but that doesn't sync with Bonsai. The Pro version (which syncs through Dropbox) is still in a non public beta, so have a look from time to time.
BTW: I can't understand Natara ignoring all the request for an android version...

Just to prevent a possible misunderstanding here: by no means I wanted to criticize Android Outliner or its developer: it's a wonderful application and Freddy is not only very responsive but he also listens very well and improve things really fast.
My key point was that even with the above, syncing is a tough issue and it takes very long time to make it work flawlessly.

I'm trialing MyLifeOrganized. Includes a PC app, cloud sync and an Android beta. Looks promising with it's built-in views/filters and available templates. I'd much rather continue using Bonsai but...

I'm about three months away from moving from a old WinMobile phone to undoubtedly an Android phone. The most exciting thing for me the last few months was finding a driver that allowed my Palm M500 (!!!) to HotSync with 64-bit Win7. All this because Bonsai Desktop and Bonsai Palm OS, and the interplay between them, simply is great, and has been acclaimed so for years (decade?). Again, why Natara is sleeping on this is strange. At the least, auction off the code and legal claims to someone who would port it to another system (and I, too, vote Android). Please make this a workable product again.

Let us know how MLO plays out. On the surface it looks pretty good. I didn't see anything about Bonsai import, though; that would be a drag, not having anyway to salvage Bonsai outlines.

Crikey! It seems I am not the only poor sad geek hanging onto his T3's to keep Bonsai (and Agendus) functionality. I absolutely don't understand how such a wonderful pairing can just be given up in the commercial world. But then again the best PDA in the business - Palm - managed to self destruct so ... :(

I asked the staff of Natara in May 2011 whether they are going to build a Bonsai for Android.
They said: No, and it is not planned at the moment.
Looks like we're going to have to look for an alternative ...
