I am in the same boat as others here. My Z22 started to experience touchscreen issues, so...

Got a Samsung Dart (very cheap Android phone, works with T-Mobile prepaid (also very cheap).

I was shocked to find a lack of sophistication in the smart phone market for organization apps compared to where Palm was 10 years ago or more!

One idea for folks: "Pocket Informant"--does not have a desktop app, but appears to be pretty sophisticated in many ways. This app (and alot of others (like "My Life Organized") base their outliners on the "Getting Things Done" book (search for "GTD" in the Android Market). I never read it, but it must be big. (I have never been much of a joiner.)

Just for fun, I am going to try going a different way:
HK Kalender (an unbelievably simple but slick calendar; unfortunately it doesn't even have alarms (as best I can tell--the developer is Danish and the instructions are not exactly intuitive), let alone repeating events; combine that with

A desktop alarm system for the phone (looking at "MyClock")--I will set alarms every morning for my appointments and timed todos--I think it might be a good discipline for me. and...

Android Outliner (which has been mentioned elsewhere here). The developer seems motivated to make this good and appears to synch with Bonsai (in some way) and the connection with Bonsai will probably get better. I love the simplicity of it, and I think it will get better over time. It is certainly better than nothing and a great antidote to the hyper-cute, hyper-graphical apps that are common on android.

Me too - You have to come out with an Android version of Bonsai and I suppose an iPhone one too.

There are many posts in different forums all along the same lines - moving on from the Bonsai Palm <> Bonsai Desktop environment. In some cases the advocacy is toward a different system such as MLO Mobile <> MLO Desktop. I like the idea of perhaps an alternative: Outliner Android <> Bonsai Desktop.

Just wish the commercial or open-source software world would see the value in wresting Bonsai from the grave.

BTW, my earlier lament of lacking a 64-bit USB sync driver is over. Other posts note that such a driver has been created, and for me it means that a 12 year old M500 is back in service. But I really would like to have to carry just one device, ie a smartphone that is Bonsai-able.
