Hello,
I like to sort my bonsai outline alphabetically for visual convenience in finding and going through my list.
However, there are some items that I like to keep only at the top of the list in the outline pane and some that I like to keep only at the bottom of the list.
And, some that I like to keep smack in the middle.
Any chance that you could put in a feature where you freeze certain rows at the top or freeze certain rows/items so they stay at the bottom of the outlines upon a sort?
Is there a prefix I can use to keep things that way?

We will keep you idea in mind but since it has not been requested before, it will be low on the list.
Since the sort is done via case insensitive ASCII order (you can find an ASCII table here: http://www.asciitable.com/) you can use the !, $, &, etc as the first character to force those items to the top. Use {, |, }, or ~ to sort the item to the bottom.
Another option is to make three top level items (called Top, Middle and Bottom???) and place children in each item according to where you want them to appear. Since you can sort the outline based on individual branches, you can control exactly which branches are sorted and which ones you retain control of their order.

I suppose here I could make an alphabetical filing of my projects and have perhaps a better segregation, excellent point!
