I was a Bonsai user on Palm for some time (I no longer have a Palm device, and deleted Bonsai before I gave it away).

My phone is WM61 Standard (Samsung Blackjack II). I purchased and downloaded the Beta, and it worked on both my phone, and on the Palm before I uninstalled it. No problem here.

My questions now:
(1) Should I install the 5.03 updater? Will the WM61 conduit be OK if I install the desktop-only version?

(2) A friend gave me a WM61Pro (touchscreen - ATT Fuze aka HTC Touch Pro). I copied all my "stuff" to it and reinstalled Bonsai 5.01 for WM. Bonsai crashed when I tried to run it. I may not be keeping this phone (right now, I'm back to using the Blackjack), but was this a fluke?

(3) If I get a new WM phone, will I have to do anything other than add the phone name to Bonsai Desktop? Will I need another license code or anything else special? Can I have multiple WM phones linked to one copy of Bonsai Desktop while I'm transitioning between phones?

Thanks, Doug

I will be releasing a WM v5.0.3 soon but in the mean time installing the Palm/Desktop-only will not cause any issues.

I am not aware of any problems with Bonsai on a Touch Pro. If you reproduce this, let me know and provide the "\Application Data\Natara\BnzLog.txt" file from the device I would be able to look into this.

As long as you assign the same owner name to the phone, the new phone will work with your existing registration number. On Bonsai on the PC, you will need to switch users using the File/Select User menu. The new user will not have any outlines listed in Outline Manager and therefore will not automatically sync your outlines to the device. To add the outlines, use the File/Open menu (or drag and drop them from Windows Explorer to the Bonsai application). It is best to close all of your outlines in Bonsai as the outlines will not be added to the Outline Manager if it is already opened in Bonsai.
You can have multiple phones linked to Bonsai Desktop but it is easier to run into sync conflicts when syncing to multiple devices. The syncing of the outline itself should work fine, but changes to outline options, categories, etc. could be an issue when changed on multiple platforms without syncing first.
