I have the notes pane showing along the bottom of the screen. Bonsai seems to have some trouble remembering how much space I've given it. I always have about 5 outlines that open when I launch Bonsai. When I click to some of the outline tabs, the notes pane fills the entire space and I have to drag it back down. I can make some changes to the outline save it, and sometimes it will be this way again the next time.

I am seeing an issue if I change the note splitter position, switch to another outline and then double click the original outline entry in the outline manager. When I do this the splitter returns back to the original position. I will look into this further. If I modify the splitter position and then click the save item in the toolbar, then the position is saved and re-opening the outline sets the splitter position correctly. Does this match what you are seeing?

No, a couple of times I tried resizing the notes pane, making some small change and then saving. I'd do this for each of the 4 or 5 tabs I had open, then shut down and restart, and some of them would have gone back to having the notes pane fill the entire window space. Seemed to be a bit random. I was just experimenting with the notes pane on the bottom, I changed it back to the side which is where I usually have it. On the side it always remembers its size.

I am still not able to reproduce this. When you say "making some small change and then saving", are you saying you made a change to the outline so that Bonsai knows to save the outline? Changing the splitter position itself does not trigger the modify flag to be set for the outline and Bonsai will not automatically save the outline. You can force Bonsai to save the outline by using the File/Save menu (not the File/Save All).
Otherwise any other clues about how to reproduce. Do you maximize the outline windows within Bonsai (that is how I have been testing it) or do you run the Bonsai application maximized (I was testing with the Bonsai main window in windowed mode). What happens if you close the outline tab and then reopen the outline without exiting Bonsai?
