How Do You View Notes On The Smartphone?

I installed Bonsai on a Treo Pro. The screen size is 320x320. Most of my outline items have a note attached. When I select to view a note, a frame opens up which is only one line wide, which makes very difficult to read the note. I could not find a way to make the note frame bigger or to open the note in its own window. How do you do that?

Never mind. I was able to make the note area bigger by clicking and dragging on the frame. The horizontal frame is kinda small and I missed it the first time I tried to click on it.

I didn't realize you could view notes that way! Or at least not in the PDA app, I've done it that way in the desktop app.

On my Palm TX I always just added a "notes" column to the outline display, and that gave me little icons I could tap on that'd bring up a full-screen window with the item's note text editable. That was super convenient, and didn't take up screen real estate when I didn't want to see the notes.

I tried the same thing on the current WM beta, right now it just displays "True" or "False" for whether the item has a note, and tapping it does nothing (yet).

The "splitter" note pane on the WM device feature is brand new. It wasn't something there in previous beta releases where you did have to go into details to view and edit notes.

I'm guessing that Rich will get around to changing the "True/False" to a note icon/ no icon situation sometime moving forward.

Actually, it started to do this again... I no longer can make the notes window bigger :(

The "splitter" is a standard control and I find it can be very particular where you grab it in order to resize. I found it works the best when you grab it in the horizontal center of the form (not sure if that really matters) near the vertical bottom of the splitter and usually on the line rather than in the middle of the splitter. In the attached picture, try clicking at the location of the red arrow head. Grabbing too far above this point will not allow the splitter to be moved. As I have time, I will look to see if there is a fix or adjustment to help resolve this issue.

Thanks. This helped. I found that it is working for me again now, but only when I click on the left side, not on the bottom of the splitter (as you show), but on the top, in the black line between the spliter and the scroll bar.
