I am fairly new to Bonsai. I have created an Overal Outline that has many items - some simple, tasks and to dos. Can someone help me figure out how to set-up my Incomplete filter so that simple items still show? As it is, when I run the filter I cannot see any simple items. Here are the selections for my Incomplete filter:
- Status: Incomplete
- Type: All Types
- Priority: All Priorities
- Link: Link Filter (off)
- Text: Blank
- Start: No Start Date (i don't generally use start dates)
- Due Date: All Dates
- Completed Date: No Completed Date
Thanks, in advance, for your help.

Thanks for the response. I tried that, but I still cannot see simple items. Are simple items not visible because they cannot have completion dates and one of the filter criterium is Status: Incomplete? Thanks for you help.

No, so I'm not sure what you are seeing.
For example, create a new outline.
Add the following items:
- Simple Parent
....[x] Checked Child
....[ ] Unchecked Child
....- Simple Child
Create a filter as you described (the ONLY setting you have is "Status: Incomple"
Use that filter. Result is:
- Simple Parent
....[ ] Unchecked Child
....- Simple Child
If you change the global setting to no show simple items on status filter, you would get
- Simple Parent
....[ ] Unchecked Child
Is it possible you have other criteria set in your filter? Try creating a new filter and only set the status option.
