Good Day all,
Kind of an off the mark question here, but I was able to install Bonsai Desktop on my Ubuntu (Linux) laptop, using the Wine desktop.
The only issue I am having is getting Bonsai to see the gnome-pilot hotsync manager. Has anyone had any luck with getting Bonsai, and for that matter Daynotez to work with Linux through Wine? Has anyone ever tried before?
I would appreciate any help or suggestions on this. I know Linux is not supported by the folks at Natara, but I figured you don't know until you ask, all they can say is no. :D
I am using the latest and greatest Bonsai, Daynotez and Ubuntu Linux.
Thanks for any help or advice.
Michael

While I am not Linux expect, I doubt you will be able to get Bonsai or DayNotez to sync. Natara provides "Hotsync conduits" that runs during the Hotsync. These modules will not be able to run in a Linux environment. I assume the gnome-pilot hotsync manager project supplies their own sync conduits to support syncing calendar/contacts/etc. in order to work.

Hi Richard, and thanks for responding.
I thought that was the case, but I had to try. At least I can use the desktop applications for what good it will do me. ;-) Most of my work with Bonsai and Daynotez is done through my Palm T|X.
Have a great weekend, and thanks again.
Michael
