Hi,
I am evaluating Bonsai and like it a lot. Previously I have been using Notemap which was great but not my own. However, I think that Bonsai has most of the features of Notemap and then some.
One thing I really would like to do is export an outline in Bonsai into my wordprocessor (rtf format) but could appreciate help with knowing how to set up the export template.
How do I write the template so that each level is tab-indented (just as I see in Bonsai)?
Also, what codes do I need to change to get different colours for each level? (I guess I can find a list of codes for different colours on the internet somewhere .... but which are the codes in the template that control the colour?)
If someone could paste an example here of a tab-indented coloured outline export to rtf, that would be a great help in getting me started.
Appreciate your help ... and looking forward to joining the community soon.

Hello John, and welcome,
I'm just heading off for Easter, but I thought I'd send you a quick reply before I go.
Have a look through previous posts in this forum (you may need to adjust your settings to enable you to see posts submitted several months ago). You'll see a few examples of rtf export templates which various people have been playing with. The format for rtf commands is published on the web, so you can soon learn how to do some simple formatting. If you use heading level styles, it's easy to import to MS Word and apply templates (or Themes in Office 2007) to adjust the look and indentation of your text.
I worked on adapting someone else's rtf template a while back. I didn't finish it, but I could dig out what I've got for you next week, in case it's of any use.
Be in touch again sometime after Easter.
Cheers,

Hello Steph,
Thank you for taking the time to reply. I didn't realise that many of the older messages in the forum were hidden, but after your response I have adjusted my preferences and now have many promising examples to investigate further. Thank you for that great tip.
And if you have any template you'd like to share I'd love to have a 'test-drive' for you.
Looking forward to sharing more with you soon,
John
