I am wondering if it's time to create a web-based Bonsai site to eventually replace the desktop software, perhaps using a subscription model. The website would synchronize with the local handheld device.
Second, I often like to look at data visually. I would like to be able to switch to a tree view, such as in freemind, and let the visual model naturally hide the detail. For instance, some of smaller leaves are hidden behind the larger ones.
Third, since Bonsai is kind of a root organizer, it inevitably becomes a hub for a kinds of different data across programs and across platforms. It needs to be able to reach into your calendar, onto the web, into your documents, and your email. Secondly you need to be able to link in the reverse direction, for instance, linking to a node in a bonsai map from a document (I dont' think that's currently possible). I wonder if it would be good to create an open, modular architecture that would allow developers to create connections between Bonsai and different kinds of data (for instance, to events on a google calendar).
Thanks,
Marco
