I have to confess I haven't been using Bonsai diligently, but I got a new PDA (Palm TX) and that has made me excited about using the PDA again!
I'm a registered user of the full version of Bonsai. Yesterday I started a new outline in the Desktop version. I added several keywords to the different items in the outline.
Today, I wanted to change some of the keywords. I double-clicked the Keywords column for one of the items, and the keyword edit box pops up -- blank. None of my keywords are there, even though they do still show for the individual items.
All of my keywords have the @ symbol in them. Other than that, I don't understand why they would not show in the list. Any ideas? It's Bonsai 4.1.2 on Windows XP.

Just tested with Bonsai 4.1.2 build 2264 but could not reproduce this. Did you do all of your editing from the desktop?
The keyword list is kept globally in your Bonsai user configuration file. Each hotsync user (and the desktop only user) has their own configuration file. Is it possible you created the outline as the "Desktop Only" user and today you have now switched to the Hotsync name for your TX? If so, then I would expect the list to be empty.

No, when I saved it I told it to sync. Incidentally it did not show up on my Palm at all.
Why would the keyboard list be empty, but the items still have keywords?
HS username has not changed.

From the user manual: The keyword list is global to all outlines. Keywords are inserted into outlines as text, and not as references to the global keyword list. Changes you make to the global keyword list are not reflected in the outlines.
Since somehow the global keyword list was lost, the list is empty but the outline still has the keywords.
I was not asking if you renamed the HS user but rather if you opened another user via the File/Select User... menu. The keyword list is global per user so selecting a different user will open a different keyword list. Try opening other users and see if you find a user that has the keywords you defined. If you do find another user with these keywords in its list, then we know why this occurred.

I tried each user listed: Desktop Only User, 'Foo' (a test user), and my normal one. All have empty keyword lists.
It's no biggie -- I can just enter the keywords again. I'll be annoyed if they get lost again though.
