using Bonsai as my To-Do list

I'm trying to use a Bonsai outline as my daily list of tasks(a.k.a. to-do list) which I name Today. I'm mostly happy, but want to make some improvements:
1. I would like the tasks I need to accomplish Today to be associated with another outline. For example, if today I need to buy a stove, then I have "buy a stove" in my Today list. I'd also like it in my Kitchen renovation list. There's copy/paste, but is there some native Bonsai way? Maybe I should create a keyword today, then filter globally for it?
1.A. I see that items can be linked to the To-Do database, but how do I view that database? Is it best practice to use that?
2. Can I create a filter that is available for all outlines? Such as exclude completed? so I can see what is left to do.
3. On the palm, I can add a contact to an item. On the desktop, can I add an outlook contact?
4. Can I show the contacts associated with an item in the outline manager view?
Any other advice on how Bonsai is intended to work as the daily task list would be appreciated.
Thanks

Daisy,
Lot of questions! Perhaps this will help. You can put a record (to do) in more than one list but they would be separate records. Perhaps a better approach would be to have one record, but give it today's date and then create a filter called TODAY's LIST to include ALL to do items with due date = today.
1. Linking to the To Do database refers to the Palm database. You'll need a Palm PDA which will function as the bridge between Bonsai and the Palm Desktop software when you synchronize.
2. You can create a filter to show incomplete items only. To use the same filter in other outlines, you will need to go to the target outline and IMPORT filters from your source outline. Haven't done this in a while, but I believe it will import all the filters from the source outline, not just the one you want. You can easily delete the unwanted ones afterwards. Caution: if your categories and keywords are different between the outlines, you'll need to be aware of that during filter editing.
3. I don't have any experience with Outlook contacts and Bonsai. Suggest you post this question separately.
4. Yes you can show contacts in the main view. Right click on a column heading and you can modify your columns.
Good luck: Hope this helps. i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif

Bonsai on the desktop does not know what PIM (Palm Desktop, Outlook, Lotus, etc) you are synchronizing with your handheld Contacts database. It does not try to get names from MS Outlook.
So, it only shows a list of contact names that are already in use in the desktop outline. You can type in the name of a contact.
