To help others make product recommendations that are likely to be widely desirable (and thus also more likely to be a good use of Natara staff's time) please advise on what you use Bonsai for most...

Maybe you could add:
- Checklists (for recouring tasks)
I personally use it to create any type of structures (import/export from/to DocsToGo or Word desirable). So it is something like doing MindMapping without the corresponding UI.

Personally, I don't think I could answer that question with a single answer servey. We've not shoehorned the product into any one of those categories and I tend to use it for several. I track project progress, make grocery lists, have my "Honey Dew" list, keep an inventory of home automation items and attempt to maintain a GTD type list. So my answer would have to be 2,3,4,6,7 and 8.

Well pooh, the only one you DIDN"T list is the one I use it for and would like to see features for!!! Perhaps you are right about the "not shoehorning" part. I wasn't suggesting people should limmit their use of Bonsai. I just wanted to make product recommendations that would be more globally beneficial--instead of just use full for me i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif I'll add "all of the above" to the survey! Thanks for the feedback.. -steve

I'm afraid to ask (given the current "climent" of events around the world today i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif ) but perhaps you could expalin how you use Bonsai to "Track People". Given we are a small company at the moment, I can count the number of people I need to track on 1 finger i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif

A fair question i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif I work for one of the public school districts in Western Washington as a school psychologist. My job description, for the most part involves ensuring that special-needs students' programs are working for them and are legally up to snuff (there's a surprizing amount of legal junk to keep track of). I also do lots (and LOTS) of psychoeducational evaluaitons. Each case involves coordinating with as many as a dozen individuals from different agencies and keeping track of a bunch of timelines and paperwork. At any given moment I'll have 25-50 active cases that I'm doing/tracking/chronicling . This is what I use Bonzia mostly for. I actually use it for lots of other stuff too. Shopping lists, short stories I'm writing (in the note fields), report writing guides that Iv'e imported, and various todos to name a few. But the, for tracking students at work, I use it probably 100 times a day--no exageration! It actually works great for it. I use Keywords to label the type of case: 'reeval,' behavioral consult,' 'therapy,' etc. I use the categories to show which school the the kid goes to. And I use the "days untill due" to track legal timelines. Now with v4 I can even tally up howmany cases Ive done durring the school year. Cool! i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif

Sure, use it for whatever. It was an answer and a testimonial! (please fix any typos though!) i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif

Lessee...
Bonsai owns one of the four buttons on my T5. At the moment I have 31 outlines on the handheld.
I use the desktop app just as much as the handheld.
I use Bonsai as a Memopad substitute. If it's a simple note, it's just as quick. If the simple note becomes more complex (most do), I'm glad I started off with Bonsai.
I've planned vacations.
I've planned the order of work (procedural steps) for building things.
I've got the dimensions of every size of Systainer (modular equipment boxes).
I've got my entire recipe box. Don't laugh. It's extremely handy to have the recipes when I'm at the supermarket.
Any writing I do starts off as a Bonsai outline.
I don't use Bonsai for shopping lists. I've assigned a button for HandyShopper. Current count is 26 lists.
