I plan on doing a complete step-by-step guide on how to take your outlines to the web using the export templates. I'm still working out some features though, so in the meantime, I wrote up a little post on my weblog.

http://www.mashby.co...ves/000703.html

It gives the overall direction and easy of use that I'm going for, but it's not quite done. When complete, I'll have an icon set, easy to use scripts and all the code you need so you can cut and paste and use for your own use.

I'm completely open to feedback too, so please feel free to post here on in the comments section on the article.

This would be very useful (Bonsai Enterprise Edition?), especially if the file links set up in Bonsai get exported OK. I'm sure that somebody posted something similar previously, but it appears to have been deleted from the forum (?). If Natara can recover the lost thread, maybe you should pool resources?

Looking forward to seeing how this gets developed.

All the best,
Stéph

Steph,

Thanks for the feedback!

I haven't played with file links yet, so as of this post, there's nothing in place to support that. Right now I'm simply working on the basic tasks and support for nesting and even that is on somewhat of a rigid format. For example, in order for the icons to work properly, the parent needs to be a "task" and the children, if they have no children, must be "todos". If that order isn't kept, then the images won't work properly.

But again, this is all premliminary stuff. I hope to add support for more features and make it more flexible while keeping it easy to use.

I found the lost thread, by searching for my postings to this form. Here it is : (Link to lost thread)[/L]. Maybe you can team up and swap good ideas...

Cheers,
Stéph

Just a quick update.

I formatted my main workstation and forgot to backup my Palm directory. As a result, I lost the work I did on the templates. Today I re-did the work and I'm actively attempting to finish it so that I can share it with everyone.

Thanks for your patience!
