Natara released a new product and updated an existing one this week:
DatePak v1.0.1 released.
This product makes it possible for any end users, group or organization to create schedule (calendar) information about events, appointments, or holidays that can be easily distributed to other handheld users. In the past, this was traditionally done by a person adding events in the Palm Desktop and then exporting those events into a Palm Desktop (windows only) specific file. With DatePak, the person adding events uses a simple desktop interface to add and modify the event information, hits a button, and BAM! out pops a customized Palm distributable application with all the dates, contact, etc in a nice beamable or downloadable .PRC file. End users can then open the DatePak on their handheld and review the events, deciding which events they want to add to their calendar.
Take for example a local YMCA. A DatePak could be created for members that contain all the different events with dates and times. These events can be grouped into specific types (like swimming, running, dance, spinning) then a DatePak created with a unique icon and splash screen logo for the YMCA. The users of the DatePak itself can then decide if they want to import all the events for the YMCA, only a particular group, or only certain events for separate groups. Once they are finished importing the events, the users can delete DatePak from their handheld, or keep it around for handy reference of events they that just are not sure of. Some users may even choose to not export the DatePak events to their calendar at all and simply use the DatePak as a reference. Hope that helps explain our unique new product!
Bonsai v2.5.1 updated.
Our very popular Bonsai outliner has been updated again. There were a few "bug" fixes made along the way also. One of the major enhancements is the support for the Dana device. Although many of our users can't take advantage of that (although the wide screen support should come in handy for the new landscape mode devices like the Sony Clie UX50), we also added more options to the filters.
Enjoy your summer!
