Hi to all
I updated the template for exporting outlines to xml and thus, through an xsl to html finally.

[note] Now stored on Natara's public web server

http://www.natara.co...plate_2.2.2.zip

For those that neve tried it, this is an XSL-XML set of program, Bonsai files that allow Bonsai (even 2.5.1 version) to export files in XML and through an XSL file to look them *exactly* as they appear on the desktop application (exactly same graphic), with notes and so on. The package includes also two other programs (one for .NET and the other for Java) that create the HTML file starting from the XML, using the XSL file. The result is an HTML page that looks exactly as a normal OTL (an example might be seen here <a target=new class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://web.cefriel.it/~frumento/uploads/Programs/index.html">here</a>)

Below there's a part of the changelog..the most important thing in this release is that now supports up to indentation level 7th.

BR

---------------------------------------------
[Version 2.2.2]
-Now correctly support indentation level up to 7. For some complicated outlines might be useful.

[Version 2.2.1]
-Added Applicatore for .NET platform, to transform an xml file, using the xsl template to an html page (with sources too!)
-Fixed an encoding problem with the Microsoft XML parser in the Bonsai.xsl

Receiving the following error message. I may not understand the process fully, but I appear to be successful when running the applicatore.bat program, but the html file is not saved on completion?

Hints, suggestions........

The XML page cannot be displayed
Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.

Invalid axes name. count(<--preceding-sibling::Item)+1

tks..........

Hi,
I had similar problems before updating the XSL parser of IE.
In the readme there are instructions to correctly update it. Once you do this operation you should be able to get the final html page

The overall process can be states as following:

1. bonsai produces an XML file through the modificed OXT export script (a Bonsai file)
2. the XML file points to an XSL file that interprets it to produce the HTML output (XSL is a standard language made in XML itself used to create the HTML view of an XML, like Microsoft's CSS).
3. the HTML file can be viewed into Explorer (pointing it to the XML file, the transformation is automatically did by IE, the process is like the one followed for CSS). The XSL file must be found in the same folder of the XML file or otherwise you can write into the XML file where to get it on the web, but you should modify the OXT file that Bonsai uses to produce the XML file.
4. in the above step the HTML is created and kept in memory, so you cannot save it directly as HTML, so if you want a real HTML file you have to use one of the programs I included inside. These two programs do the same work that IE does in memory but the result is dumped to a file. At this point the created html file doesn't need anymore XSL or XML things..

Does anyone have a copy of the template zip file, or a new link to location on the web?

The links listed don't seem to work.

Would it be possible to post it somewhere else like you did previously? It would be most appreciated.
