Bonsai version 1.0.7 beta posted

Forum members can participate in a beta test of Bonsai version 1.0.7.
Main additions to this release are:
Word wrap option on desktop.
More numbering options with increased flexibility
Desktop application saves Expand/collapsed state.
Synchronization with multiple desktops (see manual for details).
See the readme for a complete list.
Download the beta from:
http://www.natara.co...nsai107beta.zip
NOTE:
The additional features require that outline databases be internally updated. This is automatically handled by the applications on both platforms. This means that once you start using version 1.0.7, you can not revert to the previous version.
I expect this beta period to last approximately 1 week.
Please post your comments and bug reports to this forum.

The next build of the 1.0.7 beta has been posted. The only changes are in the Windows application;
-Fix redraw problem when deleting character selection
-Fix crash when dragging item to bottom of outline.
Since these are the only changes in this build, if you have already downloaded the beta, you may want to want til the next build.

The next 1.0.7 beta build, 104, has been posted. The only change is:
- The conduit now talks to the Windows application during synchronization. Open outlines are saved before synchronization is performed, and reloaded after synchronization completes. So, it is no longer necessary to close outlines before synchronization.
Its fun to leave an outline open and watch it update on-screen when sync completes.

Hi, new guy here. Logged on yesterday for the first time. Bear with me for a while as I have to catch up with a lot of the threads.
I downloaded the Beta and started playing with it. I don't know if this is an issue caused by the beta or by me but, on one of my outlines, when I reopened it, I had about 10 extra items added to the bottom of my original outline. All of the items were blank. I seriously do not think I added 10 blank items but, I guess it could be possible.
Other than that, I like what I see so far and have had no other issues.

Chris,
I've had similar problems before with Bonsai when it was in its early developmental stages particularly after heavy cut and paste (both items and branch levels), indents and outdents operations. But the conduits that came after version 1.02 seems to have fixed this and the forgot which version that included the 'Delete item on close'- I think that helped also.
Anyway, lets wait for the reply from the Masteri/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif

Thanks Chris and Winston,
I'm trying to duplicate the problem, but no luck so far.

I have posted build 105 of the 1.0.7 beta. The 2 changes are;
- Printing now has an option to print notes.
- Fixed a bug introduced in the previous beta build where the default categories (unfiled, personal, business) were missing from a new outline. This caused the first category added to not be edit-able (is that a word i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif ). Normally, the first category is the special 'unfiled' category and can not be edited.
